Thousands in Prizes!
You talked. We listened.
We've gotten permission from the county to give Visa gift cards as prizes! Everyone that makes the final table will still receive a prize but the top 3-5 players will now receive a gift card as their prize while the rest of the final table players will receive their choice of prize from the prize table based on their final standing.
We're also going to encourage you to bring your friends by increasing the prize amounts based on the number of players present. The more players, the larger the prize pool gets, so be sure to invite your friends!!
None of these prizes would be possible without the help of our sponsors. Please be sure to check them out in the Sponsors tab below!

Consolation Tournament:
Yes! We will also be holding a consolation tournament for those that go out of the main tournament. The buy-in will be $20 which will get you another 14,400 in chips and a separate prize pool. Again, everyone that makes the final table of the consolation tournament will get a prize. The top prize is a combo HDTV/DVD player donated by Jerald DeBar Construction. Standard Texas Hold 'Em rules apply.
Your admission/buy-in will get you 14,400 chips that you will be playing with for the duration of the tournmament. If you run out of chips you are out of the tournament; there are no rebuys. You are welcome to join the consolation tournament around 7pm if you go out. Full rules will also be available on the day of the event. We're a charity event so please don't expect this to be run like a casino, but we're trying our hardest to please everyone. We've gotten some great feedback from our previous events and we've slowed down the blinds a bit. The first blind is an hour to give everyone a chance to play for a while and the rest of the tournament is 20 minute blinds.

Below are some of the most common questions we've been getting about the tournament.
Q. Are there cash prizes?
A. No, Baltimore County gaming laws allow us to award prizes to the winners, valued at less than $1000 each. We are a charitable organization running this tournament within the confines of the law and will not exchange a prize for cash, so please don't ask. The top three prizes will be Visa gift cards that you can use at your discretion. The only caveat is that they will not be able to be used at ATM machines or banks in exchange for cash, in accordance with Baltimore County Gaming Laws. Please see the prize section above for the breakdown of prizes.
Q. I paid by PayPal and didn't get a link to print my tickets? What gives?
A. As per the above "Cost" section your tickets will be mailed to the address you enter in PayPal. We will be mailing tickets out once a week, so please allow for 2-3 weeks to receive your tickets. We assure you that your tickets are reserved if you paid by PayPal. We are an all-volunteer charitable organization so please be patient.
Q. What is Rotary and what are you using the money for, exactly?
A. Good question! While Rotary is the largest of the serivce organizations our works are often done quietly behind the scenes. We have been instrumental in ridding the world of Polio and are actively involved in thousands of clean water and literacy projects around the world. However, locally, our good works tend to get noticed right here in in the area. The proceeds from this fundraiser will be helping fund projects including our Dictionary projects that have given a dictionary to every third grader in a public school every year for the past 5. We help the food banks, counseling centers, the Historical Society, Community Foundation and many others. One of our exciting future projects is a rest stop on the Red Run Valley Trail. 100% of the proceeds from this and all Rotary events go directly to the projects. We have no overhead as we are 100% volunteer. Our dues are paid by our members so all of our fundraising goes right to the projects.
